  2. Anon - upward momentum looks like a yawner. Kinda sleepy. They will move higher with this final big rally....but at the moment they look like they are still asleep. Before you throw in the towel, I encourage you to do some research on both and see if you can determine that whatever pulled them down is still an issue or whether it is something that has been resolved favorably (in which it is just a matter of being patient).

  3. hi John, how can I study the arts and science of TSI... Is there some books or reference articles avaiable on different parameters to be used with TSI ? I saw my trading account but the charts dont provide TSI capability ! How can I use this indicator manually ? Any guidance will be helpful

  4. Hi rags - well, Wm. Blau, the inventor of the True Strength Index has authored a now out of print book about the TSI. I was able to Google it and buy it online.

This is a page on my website dedicated to showing you what I have figured out so far.

And past the inventor and myself, ah, beats me. If you find something else, please let me know!

  5. thank you JOhn... I am trying to plot these indicators on LVS, IDT and FNSR to make a trade decision...
FNSR and LVS are close to the upper bollinger band but the TSI is still rising --- So I am not sure if I still can get in these 2 stocks...
IDT has a TSI which is falling above zero cross over and moving away from upper bolinger -- which may mean that its not time to get in this stock...
Can you please let me know if I am right in my analysis ... I am still a novice and any suggestions is much appreciated !

  6. Rags - I took a peak at those stocks several hours ago and my impression was that you sized things up quite well. IDT has not made a trend line break and you might consider waiting to see if it does before buying. FNSR made a subtle negative divergence today - it traded higher today than yesterday, but the TSI closed lower. That will probably go down tomorrow, as well. Same with LVS. Also, LVS had traded higher than April 7 high, but TSI is not higher. So now that I think about it, all three have a scar I don't like at the moment. I hope these thoughts help you.
